For the first time, we present images of naked and empty MET particles imaged in vivo after intravenous administration.
Using label free Raman microscopy, scientists at the University of Exeter, in collaboration with scientists at UCL are able to track Nanomerics' MET particles in vivo. Following intravenous adminstration, Nanomerics' MET particles are clearly seen in various tissues and this is evidence that the particles are taken up by cells and this data provides a mechanistic basis to their drug transport characteristics.
The label free imaging provided by the Raman microscopy technique means that Nanomerics' MET particles are not chemically altered by the use of radioisotope or fluorescent labels. Click here for more.
